I did my best to get some snappers of my recent D.I.Y. rainbow manicure along with none other than Pierre Hermé macarons brought to me by a certain very handsome young frenchmen. They didn’t turn out as well as I would have liked but I think the point comes across. Anyone else tried out this look lately? I think it’s so fun for summer…
Now I am off to Provence for a couple days! Hope your weekend is as bright and cheery as this manicure!
P.S. If you are looking for more inspiration you know where to find it…
I love summer storms. Growing up, I spent many summer vacations off the White River in Arkansas riding jet skis, water skiing, swimming, and taking late evening barge rides out on the bay. As much fun as that was I was never bummed when one of those southern summer storms rolled in with thunder, lightning, torrential rain, and the occasional funnel cloud! I find storms as exciting now as I did then. Last week we got quite a few coming through France. As fun as storms can be, they can also be a real drag when it comes to planning your wardrobe! This winter I picked up these Chanel rain boots to make sure I always looked stylish no matter what the weather conditions. As if I didn’t like a good rainy day enough before, now I look forward to them even more as an excuse to wear my boots. Click below to listen to B.B. sing about the sunshine, which there has been none of today.
I have been feeling a bit down lately so I am sorry if my blog posts are not as fun and exciting as usual. I have been sick for almost a week now with a horrible ear ache! Meanwhile I have work assignments coming in and still trying to get my work visa sorted out which is the worst of all taking its toll on me. Luckily there seems to finally be a light at the end of the tunnel for me as I have found an excellent immigration lawyer that is going to help with everything. Sending love to all of you from Paris and hoping that your summer is being filled with far off places, beaches, parties, relaxation, and minimal rain showers! Which top 3 places would be your choice for cheap holidays destinations? Let me know…I am hoping to get in another trip in before summer ends!
P.S. If that didn’t do the trick for you there is always new stuff hanging in the Inspiration Gallery…
Moving so much lately has made me think about the importance of home. When I moved to Paris I knew no one here and barely spoke three sentences of French. I gathered my most cherished trinkets, photographs, and clothing into four cases and flew them across the ocean knowing they would be the only familiarity once I got there. My home is everything to me, and your home is what you make it. I made my home here with so little and have built upon it ever since, even though home has been in several apartments over these two years. I am finally ready to settle down and buy my own place here, but before I can get to that I have to fly back and forth between Paris and New York City in the coming months to iron out some hick ups with my working visa. For now I call this little doll house like studio on a quite courtyard of the Marais my Paris home. I hope you enjoyed a peek inside…
P.S. If you are looking for some special little trinkets, the Bardot Boutique has now branched into items for the home!
Thank goodness it’s Friday. Best of all I got a cute cute new shirt to wear and some good plans! Two classes, then a free afternoon hopefully on the Champ de Mars because it is very sunny right now, and then seeing Mélanie Laurent in a play with my petit copin tonight. It’s going to be a good day. If you want to get pumped up for the weekend this is the anthem…
My new shirt is from none other than my favorite Suncoo that I talk about all the time! I’m also rocking this retro side swept hair lately, what do you think?
These jeans are by The Kooples and they are a light wash with a pretty slightly pink tint to them. The comfy and airy boyfriend fit and the color is perfect for spring.
It has a pretty woven pattern and then drapes down the arm.
I got this clutch for my birthday from my mom It’s vintage 60’s and comes from a very very very cool and accomplished friend of ours. I hope all her success will carry on to me through this bag!
I’ve got some spring time polish on, Miami Peach by Chanel.
This shirt is so soft you have no idea. I am a sucker for soft materials, which is why my place is filled with faux fur pillows and blankets.
Sofia got a bunch of studs which we have been miscellaneously placing on items including my jeans here.
These shoes are by LF and studded in gold and silver. So cool and super comfortable they were a great buy and are on their last leg now…no pun intended.
Yes, I really am that excited it is finally the weekend. Some weeks are just harder than others…
