Fashionable Giveaway

When I came home from Provence last week I was so happy to check my mail box and find very special little package waiting for me. I few months ago I stumbled across Janelle Burger’s adorable artwork and knew instantly we had something in common, a minor infatuation with the Miu Miu Spring 2010 collection! Unfortunately due to a lack a free funds to allocate towards my obsession, I didn’t end up with as much of this collection in my closet as I would like, although I did splurge on the swallow print satin clutch! The next best thing I decided are Janelle’s adorable artistic interpretations of the collections forever immortalized in print! I am now the proud owner of several pieces from this collection thanks for Janelle’s artwork. I plan on hanging my new prints that you can see below in some cute little frames in my future walk in closet of my perfect apartment that I am yet to find…hehe.

Janelle isn’t just a girl that draws Miu Miu though! When she isn’t drawing she lives la vie parisienne riding her bike around Paris and taking photographs, including some incredible shots from fashion week. Inspired by an array of haute couture and pretty pouty models her range of prints are all fabulous. She has so graciously offered three  of these pretty prints for a Bardot in Blue giveaway, including one from the Miu Miu runway, the blue haired girl, and the beautiful Natalia Vodinova. To enter the giveaway comment on this post between now and August 15th when I will draw the lucky winner! In the mean time go explore and be inspired by browsing her portfolio, checking out her photography on her blog, or shopping her artwork in her etsy shop. Now go comment crazy and have an awesome weekend!

Animal House

I recently went to an exposition of some of Karen Knorr’s photographs from her Fables series at the Musée du Carnavalet in Paris. The works were a collaboration between the famous Deyrolle and Knorr, photographing animal in the many of the great palaces of France. From the exposition amongst Knorr’s photographs featured you could also spot Deyrolle’s taxidermy animals were placed amongst the former palace. Here is a myriad and mélange of my photos of the Deyrolle of the animals in the beautiful interiors au Musée du Carnavalet (the jardin as well) and her works.

P.S. If you don’t yet know one of my favorite blogs Secrets of a Butterfly please visit her incredibly sweet post about Bardot in Blue and the rest of all the wonderful things being shared in that little piece of heaven.
